Might as well face that you're addicted to gourds

Found this Bottle Gourd hiding under the leaves. Big, on par with the other two hanging ones. It's white, blanched I guess from being shaded. The hanging ones are a glorious green.

I'm a bit uninspired, the computer problems are throwing me off. Weird to feel like it will shut down at any minute. I may be absent for a few days. Besides the surprise Bottle Gourds, these are all the little growing Ornamental Gourds. I wouldn't have thought gourd growing could be such fun. I love the different shapes and patterns. I know there are tons more varieties out there, some really funky kinds. I think growing gourds is going to become an addiction. Wish I had let the family that lived here before us leave their old swing set. Makes a great trellis. Susie was worried about them taking up too much space in the garden. But they seem to be doing okay climbing the fence.

Making myself stay up so Maury can get some play time. He's been caged since I went into work in the afternoon. He's enjoying it: romping around, running up and down the hall, tossing a dog toy in the air. Just jumped up on my lap and typed the number 41. Now he's doing mini binkies on the runner rug. Watching bunnies play is better than TV.

Below is a photo of the squash, cuke, gourd part of the garden.

41 Huh?...let's remember that number...
If cats can read, maybe Maury is up to something too.

I think I like that pale gourd better than the green ones.

Tracy,
You are so funny. When I wrote that Maury typed in 41, I was going to say, TRacy, what do you think that means? I couldn't think of anything clever to add though. I knew I could count on you. You're right, he must be trying to reach you. He's probably RATHER come live with you. He must've read your comment about wanting more bunnies rather than a cat. And then he must've read my mind. When you wrote that, I thought, wow, she really LOVES bunnies. You couldn't pay me to take another bunny. They are too much WORK, too messy and naughty. I don't think I am a true bunny lover like you. Maury can probably sense it, though I do adore him and am doing my best to keep him happy. Maury says, "41 Pickering Ave, here I come." ;-)

Ha ha...keep in mind, my bunnies either sit in their room and do nothing (Heidi) except be there when you need them. OR they hide and run for their lives and avoid you like the plague...Caramel and Buster. So I don't really have high maintenance rabbits. They are pretty aloof and want to be left alone. I would love a bun like Maury that actually acknowledges my existence.

Hi Tracy,
Yes, my other bunnies are like that, practically feral, don't want anything to do with me until food time. Plus they entertain each other, have grooming sessions and chases. Maury counts on me for all that. I know he would love a bunny friend but I just can't manage it now.
Maury want to come live with Heidi!
